Rebuilding value in neighborhoods requires a multifaceted approach that incorporates schools, amenities, retail, services as well as a variety of housing strategies and types.  In many neighborhoods, existing homes offer a starting point for investment, but rising new construction costs often outpace the value in emerging neighborhoods preventing the introduction of needed new construction homes.

Working in partnership with Design Initiative, and community stakeholder the Woodlawn Foundation,  Western Horizons is developing 22 duplex homes in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Birmingham.  These homes will build on the success of single family homes previously developed by Design Initiative and the Woodlawn Foundation and will provide new homes at a price point not currently available.
